Sonia has been a financial counselor with the FEC since 2013. Prior to joining the FEC, Sonia served as a Homeless Management Analyst with the City of Lansing Human Relations Community Services for four years. She holds a MBA, and a Masters in Leadership Management from Devos Graduate School of Midland; a BBA in Business Administration and Management from Northwood University.
Her interests in serving the community are profound, as she has served on the board of directors of the Women’s Opportunity House, Lansing, from 2010 to 2013 while volunteering as a counselor and development strategist for His Healing Hands Ministries, a free clinic in Lansing from 2010 to 2011 and Ingham County Jail ministry from 2005 to 2008.
French is Sonia's first language and she speaks several others besides English. She is also an Army wife and a mother to a two-year old son.
