    Lansing Community College's Summer Stage Under the Stars is a free festival, featuring family-friendly and entertaining plays and concerts at the lovely amphitheater in the heart of campus. DANCE Lansing ends the festival in Dart Auditorium with four nights of exciting new dance. Indoors or on the lawn, enjoy a perfect summer evening!

    Allen Farmers Market is a thriving weekly market that provides our neighborhood with access to fresh produce and other delicious products, a convivial atmosphere to visit with neighbors, and opportunities to engage with each other and share diverse resources and perspectives. Live music from 5 – 6 pm. Credit/debit, EBT (plus Double Up Food Bucks), and cash are accepted. Find the Market year round, located at 1629 E Kalamazoo, either inside the Allen Market Place building from November through early May, or outside in the parking lot on the corner of Kalamazoo and Allen Streets from mid-May through October. Parking is available off of Shepard Street.

Concert attendees should bring lawn chairs or blankets to use during the concerts. In case of rain or other inclement weather, concerts will take place at the same time and location on the following day. For directions to the Park or for more information, please call 483-6019.

  9. South Lansing Farmers Market

    July 26, 2018, 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM @ St. Casimir Catholic Church

    Visit dozens of local farmers and vendors selling fresh, locally-grown fruits and veggies, cut flowers, herbs, pastured chicken, grass-fed beef, jerky, breads, butter, roasted coffee, sweet treats, eggs, honey, syrup, caramel corn, soaps, lotions, and hand-made jewelry, fabric and wood crafts. The South Lansing Farmers Market also offers massage, live entertainment, kids’ activities, tips for healthy eating, and recipe samples. Delicious Chinese, Cuban, and Mexican foods are also available for dining or take-out at the market. The market is held every Thursday from 3-7 p.m. in the parking lot at St. Casimir Catholic Church. If it rains, the market is held inside the St. Casimir Gym. Shoppers can use VISA, MasterCard, SNAP Bridge Cards, Double Up Food Bucks, and Market FRESH coupons. Pet-friendly!

    Mayor Schor has announced a public conversation to engage the public in ideas for this building moving forward. “This is an important property on our waterfront and we can’t let this building sit vacant for too long,” said Mayor Schor. "We are putting all options on the table and welcome the voices of Lansing residents with their ideas and thoughts for this important space. I look forward to hearing their thoughts and comments.” The public conversation will take place Thursday, July 26 at 6:00-8:00 PM at the Lansing City Market. If you can't make the meeting, you are welcome to send ideas and proposals to lansing.mayor@lansingmi.gov.
