Permit Parking Agreement

    Fill out and submit or print this form. It should be submitted to the Parking Services Office along with the Parking Permit application along with this agreement. You must come into the Parking Service Office to complete the application process and receive your parking supplies.

  3. Parking Services Office (PSO)

    We are pleased that you have selected the City of Lansing for your parking needs in downtown Lansing. Below is an agreement that emphasizes important rules and regulations to create the best parking experience for you. Please be sure to read all of them carefully and sign the bottom and return this with you application.

  4. 1. Please follow the posted signs and written regulations pertaining to the parking facility. Failure to adhere to these policies may result in a parking violation and/or the cancelling of your permit privileges.

  5. 2. Permit hang tags and gate cards are the property of the City of Lansing and are non-transferable and not for resale. Your permit is only valid for one vehicle at its permitted lot or ramp.

  6. 3. Parking in an area other than where your permit is valid may subject you to a parking violation ticket, hourly fees and/or a lost ticket fee. In gated facilities, parking in an area other than where your permit is valid may cause your access card to deny entry and/or exit as well as additional fees.

  7. 4. Monthly permit payments are due at the PSO on or before the first business day of each month. If your payment is late a $15 fee will be applied to your account. If there are any changes to your credit card or account information, please email us at, call us at (517) 483-4240, or visit the PSO to avoid additional charges.

  8. 5. Failure to submit monthly payments on time may jeopardize your parking privileges. If a payment on your account is five or more calendar days late, you may be denied access to your designated parking area.

  9. 6. Delinquent accounts will be referred to a collection agency.

  10. 7. If you wish to change parking facilities, where available, or cancel your permit program, you MUST return your access card or hang tag to the PSO in person or by registered mail. A prorated refund will be issued to you if you choose to withdraw from the program prior to the end of a month you have paid for. This refund is calculated based on the number of remaining calendar days. Discounted residential permit parkers will NOT be prorated.

  11. 8. The PSO may terminate your permit with 30-days written notice or immediately as the result of non-payment or failure to follow posted signs and written regulations. The City of Lansing is not obligated to relocate you upon notice of termination of this Agreement or closure of the subject facility.

  12. Parking Rules Specific to Parking Lots

    1. Lot permits are valid 6 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

  13. 2. Permit holders in Lots 49, 49(a), 52, 53, 55, and 56 are subject to frequent relocation during special events. You will be notified of the need for relocation at least one day prior to the event along with alternate parking locations. Permit vehicles parked in a lot subject to relocation may be ticketed, fined and/or towed without notice.

  14. 3. Trailers are not to be parked in lots without advanced notice. Failure to do so may result in the issuance of a parking violation.

  15. 4. If you lose your permit hang tag please contact the PSO to obtain a new hang tag. A replacement fee of $30 must be paid prior to the issuance of a new hang tag.

  16. Parking Rules Specific to Parking Ramps

    1. Ramp permits are only valid in your designated parking area. Failure to park your vehicle in your designated permit area may result in additional fees. Special events may require an additional fee for entry Also, please note North Capitol Ramp is closed and locked from 10:30 p.m. to 5:45 a.m., Monday through Friday and 24 hours on weekends.

  17. 2. Lost parking ramp Prox cards can be replaced for a $30 fee. Please stop in the PSO to purchase a new card.
