Lane Reductions for the 9/11 Remembrance Memorial
The City of Lansing Public Service Department announces the following lane restrictions will be in affect beginning around 7:00 a.m. through 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 11, 2019.
These restrictions are to accommodate the City of Lansing and surrounding area Fire, Police, EMS, Veterans and Operating Engineers with their 9/11 Remembrance Memorial.
Members from the above lists will unite in a silent procession starting at 8:30 a.m. on Michigan Avenue in front of the Lansing Center and proceed west to Wentworth Park for the memorial. The following streets will have lane restrictions prior to the event beginning around 7:30 a.m.
The northern most WB lane on Michigan Ave. between the Museum Drive and Grand Ave;
The eastern most NB lane on Grand Avenue between Allegan Street and Ottawa Street.
Travel lanes will be maintained adjacent to the memorial on Grand Avenue, drivers are asked to use caution in this area or seek alternate routes to minimize delays.
