Mayor Andy Schor today announced that Lansing Fire Department Assistant Chief Teresa Robinson, Ph.D., has been appointed by Governor Gretchen Whitmer to serve on the Michigan Board of Medicine for a term that commenced January 1, 2020 and expires December 31, 2023.
“I am proud of Assistant Fire Chief Teresa Robinson for her appointment by Governor Whitmer to serve on the Michigan Board of Medicine,” said Mayor Schor. “I am confident that Teresa’s knowledge and experience will be a great addition to represent all of Lansing on this important board.”
Assistant Chief Robinson holds a Master of Science degree from Grand Canyon University and Ph.D. from Walden University. As a licensed firefighter, paramedic, EMS Instructor Coordinator, Pro-Board Fire Instructor II, and American Heart Association instructor for multiple disciplines, she has years of practical experience and academic knowledge.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to serve the City of Lansing and State of Michigan in this new capacity and thank Governor Whitmer for her confidence in me,” said Assistant Chief Robinson. “I am looking forward to promoting the public health of our state and will fulfill my duties with diligence.”
