CART Trash and Recycling Delays Due to the Holidays

Due to the Christmas holiday, The City of Lansing’s trash and recycling collections will be delayed by one day beginning on Wednesday, December 25th, 2019, and through the rest of that week. 

Likewise, due to the New Year holiday, The City of Lansing’s trash and recycling collections will be delayed by one day beginning on January 1st, 2020, and through the rest of that week. 

In other words, for residents whose scheduled collection day is regularly Wednesday or Thursday, pickup will be delayed by one day.  For residents whose scheduled collection day is regularly Monday or Tuesday, pickup will remain the same like normal.

Residents contracting with private refuse haulers are urged to check with their collection companies for possible scheduling changes.

In addition to the recycling and trash collections delays, the CART office will be closed on the following dates: December 24th, 25th, 31st and January 1st.
