Mayor Andy Schor today announced the hiring of Cathleen Edgerly to serve as Downtown Lansing Inc.’s (DLI) next Executive Director. Edgerly will begin her role as Director on August 26, 2019.
“Cathleen Edgerly has a wealth of knowledge and expertise in managing downtown Main Streets,” said Mayor Andy Schor. “I am proud to welcome Cathleen to the Downtown Lansing Inc. and I am confident in her ability to bring our downtown to the next level. I appreciate the hard work of the DLI Board in making sure that we have the best possible person to help downtown Lansing thrive.”
Cathleen joins DLI with past experience in program coordination and management, communications and marketing, and most recently served as the Howell Main Street Inc. DDA Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer. During Cathleen’s time with Howell Main Street Inc., Howell won the Great American Main Street award, and was named a Master Level Main Street community. Cathleen created the 501(c)3 non-profit board, oversaw board transitions, expanded and revamped the Howell Art Project, and mentored other downtown and Main Street leaders. Cathleen also worked at Downtown Lansing Inc. as the Communications and Marketing Manager from October 2011 through April 2014.

The Capital City is full of wonderful attractions, businesses, and boundless opportunities,” said Cathleen. “It’s exciting to be working with so many other dedicated community members to continue the revitalization of downtown Lansing while actively working to positively promote our downtown as THE place for people to live, work, play, and invest!”
Cathleen earned her bachelor's degree in advertising and minor in English from the Michigan State University.
