Mayor Schor Appoints Don Sober to the Lansing Housing Commission Board

LANSING — Mayor Andy Schor has today appointed Don Sober as the Resident Appointee Member for the Lansing Housing Commission Board in the term to expire June 30, 2023. The term for the appointee in this spot expired June 30, 2018.

“I am proud to appoint Don Sober to the Lansing Housing Commission Board. Don is a resident and president of the Resident Housing Council at the 3200 South Washington facility,” said Mayor Andy Schor. “He has a great understanding of everything that goes on at Lansing Housing Commission properties, and will be a tremendous addition to this board moving forward.”

Sober has been vetted and meets all of the requirements in the City Charter. City Council confirmation is not required for this appointment. City Clerk Chris Swope will swear Sober into his new position, effective immediately.
