Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) is the discharge of combined sewage into a water body such as a river, lake or stream. Combined Sewage is a combination of untreated sewage and stormwater.

The Basement Backup Protection Program (B2P2) is a program for Lansing residents that proactively addresses the issue of basement sewer backups and offers assistance to protect families from future backups.
The City of Lansing is working with regional partners as a members of the Greater Lansing Regional Committee on Stormwater Management (GLRC) to help protect and preserve our precious water resources.
