Lansing CARES
The City of Lansing will use a total of $1,480,294 Community Development Block Grant funds that may only be used to prevent or respond to the impacts of the spread of COVID-19. It was part of the federal CARES Act passed in March of 2020.
Grow with Google
Lansing was selected to be a part of the Grow with Google program. Over 1,000 people participated and learned about the free digital tools Google offers to move their careers and businesses forward.
eBay Retail Revival
Lansing was selected to participate in eBay's retail revival program to support and grow small businesses across the city.
BOLD Lansing
BOLD (Believe, Optimize, Learn, Dream) Lansing brings together City programs and local partners to provide step-by-step financial education and planning to help students, their families, and young adults prosper and save for post-secondary education.
Mental Health Task Force
In 2020, Mayor Andy Schor initiated the creation of a Mental Health Task Force. The City of Lansing partnered with Michigan State University to bring together professionals together to address mental health in our community together.

Operation Slow Down
Operation Slow Down is a program designed to reduce speeding and reckless driving behaviors on Lansing streets. Mayor Andy Schor’s Office, the Lansing Police Department, and Lansing Public Service Department have put together resources to assist residents when they see speeding in their neighborhood.
