Mayor's Water Challenge

For the first time ever, the City of Lansing participated in the annual Mayor's Water Challenge for Conservation, a national non-profit community service program that was jointly presented by the Wyland Foundation and Toyota, in addition to many others. The program is a competition that challenges residents and city personnel to see who can conserve the most amount of natural resources, particularly water, in comparison to participating cities across the country.

Participation was based on residents taking a pledge to commit to living more sustainability and then ethically abiding by that choice.
