Trash guidelines apply to all trash collection services that CART provides and are imposed for the safety of both customers and staff.
Overfilling a trash cart is very easy to do, making it one of the most commonly overlooked guidelines. Overfilling means that the lid of a trash cart cannot be sealed as a result of the amount of trash in it. Overfilling can also mean placing bags next to or on top of a trash cart (as shown in the photo to the right). This makes it difficult for crews to collect trash, and therefore, is not allowed. To view how many bags are recommended to fit in each cart size, please visit the CART Service Options page.
