Responsible for performing specialized duties to assist with the logistical coordination of hundreds of election workers, material and equipment in preparations for upcoming citywide elections for over 83,000 registered voters. In addition, they would learn and document the steps required for the democratic process in the City of Lansing to ensure elections are fair, ballots are secured and the entire process is transparent to the public.This internship would be ideal for students interested in political science, public administration, and office administration.
Responsible for performing specialized duties to evaluate documents; primarily contracts, filed with the Lansing City Clerk and determine an appropriate record retention date, recorded in the database, and securely store records based on the City of Lansing Record Retention Schedule and best practices.
