It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Lansing firefighter Dennis Rodeman, who was struck by a hit-and-run driver while participating in a fundraiser on 9/9/15. Click the link below for the GoFundMe page set up by Lansing, LFD and IAFF Local 421 to donate to Rodeman's family.

Mayor Bernero announced a new partnership with TruGreen that is transforming a vacant house and overgrown lot into a community space at 1845 Osband Ave. The Ingham County Land Bank-owned property was recently demolished and the site is now being redeveloped into a fruit tree orchard and garden.

Mayor Bernero and the Lansing Economic Area Partnership announced today that the city and the George F. Eyde Family, LLC have finalized the purchase and redevelopment agreement for the Oliver Towers building in downtown Lansing. The renovation will bring apartments, office & retail space!

FREE, fresh, non-perishable food items will be distributed by the City of Lansing Human Relations & Community Services Department & the Greater Lansing Food Bank on Saturday, October 17, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. Casmir, 800 W. Barnes, Lansing MI 48910.
LPD Body-worn Camera Project

LPD Body-worn Camera Project

The Lansing Police Department will be testing several different models of body-worn cameras on a trial basis to determine the best technology for the Lansing officers. Full deployment for this project is expected in late fall of this year.
