Station 45 is home to Extrication Engine 45. Eng. 45 makes all extrication calls in Lansing. It carries the same equipment as all LFD Engine companies plus a large variety of specialty extrication equipment. E45 is a larger than normal engine to carry all of the built in extrication tools that are ready to go within seconds of arriving. Eng. 42 (north) and Eng 44 (south) carry portable equipment. An extrication response in Lansing gets E45 and the north or south end Extrication Engine.
