Recycle-Rama!
Date: Saturday, September 25th
Time: 8am -1pm
Location: Ingham County Health Department, 5303 S. Cedar, Lansing.
All traffic must enter from Northbound Cedar St.
Cost: Most items are free, however, some fees apply to household electronics. See list below.
Materials Accepted at this Special ONE DAY ONLY event:
Shoes - Please tie shoes together in pairs or place them together in bag or box.
Clothing - Please no clothes with odors or that are stained or torn.
Scrap Steel/Appliances - A limited number of $15 rebates will be provided to BWL customers who drop off working, inefficient air conditioners and dehumidifiers. First come-first served.
Bicycles
Used household fats, cooking oil and greases
Books – All types, hard/soft cover
Compact Fluorescent Light (CFL) bulbs - Broken CFL's can be accepted, but please place in plastic bag first
Mercury Thermostats - Leave intact. Do not remove mercury vial from within the thermostats
Mercury Thermometers - Please place in Ziplock bag
Unwanted medicines
Holiday Lights - BWL residential electric customers can recycle traditional incandescent holiday lights in exchange for 2 free strands of energy efficient LED lights.

Organizing and Recycling In Your Home: Getting Started
