Welcome to Capital Area Recycling & Trash (CART). We offer City of Lansing residents convenient, weekly curbside collections for recycling, refuse, and yard waste . All materials are collected on the same day! Bulk item pick up is also available. A variety of educational resources are also offered to the Lansing community. Please contact the CART hotline at 483-4400 with any questions, comments or concerns.
Our mission is to provide an efficient recycling, yard waste and refuse collection system which encourages environmentally responsible behavior learned through consistent outreach efforts, as well as continuous, community-based educational activities, all of which contribute to a cleaner and healthier environment and enhance the quality of life for those who live and work in the city of Lansing.
