Current Construction Project - Downtown - Allegan / Chestnut
Phase V, Segment 1 of the Lansing Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) Control Plan will continue the sewer separation and rehabilitation of the Downtown Segmentation area. Two areas are being designed as part of this area. The first is Allegan Street between Grand Avenue and Capitol Avenue. The second includes Chestnut Street from Shiawassee Street to Ottawa Street. The Allegan Street project will rehabilitate approximately 5 acres and eliminate approximately 1,350 feet of existing sanitary and storm sewer. The Chestnut Street project will rehabilitate approximately 9 acres and eliminate approximately 1,350 feet of existing sanitary sewer.
