MR. JOSE P. GAMEZ
Mr. Jose P. Gamez is currently Coordinator of State and Federal Programs with the Lansing School District. He holds a bachelors degree from Texas A&M University (Kingsville) in psychology and sociology; a masters degree from Michigan State University in College Student Personnel Services. Mr. Gamez was a business owner for 15 years. He worked for Michigan State University, Office of Admissions and Scholarships as Assistant Director for five years. He spent six years with the State of Michigan as a research analyst in the areas of community block grant development, motor carrier transportation enforcement unit and a policy analyst for the State Boundary Commission. He is also a trained community dialogue facilitator for the U.S. Human Genome Project in the Ethical, Legal and Social Issues of genetic testing and genetic research. His hobbies include reading research documents pertaining to cognitive molecular genetics, bioethics, behavioral and population genetics.
