The Lansing Planning Office is committed to managing development through effective planning and zoning practices designed to enhance the quality of life in residential neighborhoods, create vibrant business districts, protect the environment and promote an atmosphere for industry to thrive.
The Lansing Planning Office...
- Administers the Planning and Zoning Code;
- Develops and maintains the City Master Plan; and
- Provides staff support for the Planning Board, the Board of Zoning Appeals and the Historic District Commission.
On Wednesday, November 9, 2011, the Planning Board is holding a public hearing regarding the proposed Design Lansing Comprehensive Plan. This hearing is the culmination of a planning process that involved dozens of meetings to receive comments and suggestions from the public. If you are interested in attending, click here for details.
