The Lansing Planning Office is committed to managing development through effective planning and zoning practices designed to enhance the quality of life in residential neighborhoods, create vibrant business districts, protect the environment and promote an atmosphere for industry to thrive.
The Lansing Planning Office...
- Administers the Planning and Zoning Code;
- Develops and maintains the City Master Plan; and
- Provides staff support for the Planning Board, the Board of Zoning Appeals and the Historic District Commission.
It’s Official! On the Lansing City Council voted unanimously to adopt the Design Lansing Comprehensive Plan. The adopted Plan is available on the www.designlansing.net web site. We are working to make hard copies available, subject to budgetary constraints.
