First Step To Receive Down Payment Assistance
The first step to receiving down payment assistance from the city is to attend Pre-Purchase Homeownership counseling. Approved counseling agencies in the
Franklin Street Community Housing Corporation
You will need to call one of these agencies to sign up for their Pre-Purchase Homeownership counseling course. You are not eligible for city funds until you have taken this course.
After counseling you will need to find a mortgage company, real estate agent, and a house.

Your mortgage company will submit your application package for down payment assistance to the city.
If your package is accepted, an inspection of the home you wish to purchase will be set-up. You can obtain additional information and forms for our program on the city's website.
