The "Lead Safe Lansing" Program
The Lead Safe Lansing Program utilizes funding made available through the Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) to sponsor a lead remediation program to make housing units lead safe for both owner-occupied and rental units within the City limits. Up to $8,000.00 is available as a loan for the lead remediation, and after three years, the loan will be forgiven. A minimum match of 25% of the cost of lead remediation is required. Our office can help you with the match requirement through other programs. Lead remediation items installed in your home could include:
