Parks and Recreation back

Lansing Park Board

Prior to the following reguarlly scheduled meetings the Park Board will be meeting at 6:00 p.m. at Foster Center, 200 N. Foster Avenue, Room 211 to prepare goals for the 2015-2020 Master Plan and receive public input.  The dates are as follows:

May 14 - Naturalization and Ecology Management
June 11 - Tree Planting and Replacement
July 9 - Access to Rivers
September 10 - Parks Foundation
October 8 - Non-Motorized Trail Use
November 12 - Diversify Recreational Opportunities

Below General Information

The Lansing Park Board is an 8 member citizens advisory board.  It receives its authority from the Lansing City Charter and exists for the purpose of providing recommendations to the Mayor on programs and policies related to the Department of Parks and Recreation.  Below is the list of all current Lansing Park Board Members.  The Lansing Park Board meets the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. at Foster Community Center. If you would like more information on the Lansing Park Board or wish to attend a Park Board Meeting please contact the Parks and Recreation Department at (517) 483-4307.
