The Greater Lansing Area Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Holiday Commission is proud to announce that our 28th Annual Celebration Luncheon in memory of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr will take place on Monday, January 21, 2013, in downtown Lansing at the Lansing Center, 333 E. Michigan Avenue. The luncheon will begin at 11:00 a.m. (doors open at 10:30 a.m.). Our theme will be:
“Moving the Dream Forward in Pursuit of Truth, Justice, and Compassion”
Our Keynote speaker will be celebrated journalist Jacque Reid. Ms. Reid has more than fifteen years of broadcasting expertise in news, lifestyle, entertainment reporting, and hosting. She has interviewed some of the most influential people of our generation including Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton. Currently, Jacque can be seen daily as a co-host on NBC 4 New York's much talked about celebrity and lifestyle show, “New York Live.” We are certain Ms. Reid will deliver a memorable and inspiring keynote address.
In addition the Commission is excited to announce our special guest vocalist, Joshua Rogers. Joshua is the most recent winner of BET’s highly successful reality singing competition, Sunday Best. The 18-year old Greeleyville, South Carolina native rose to the top from over 20,000 contestants and captured the hearts of millions of gospel music lovers across the nation.

Advertising space is available within the Luncheon Souvenir Booklet. For your convenience, we have enclosed a form for submission of a camera-ready advertisement. We will need to receive your ad no later than Friday, December 14, 2012, to ensure inclusion in the booklet. If you have questions regarding placing an ad, please contact Mr. Lonnie C. Tickets are $35.00/ person or $280.00/ table of eight (8).

Visit the Lansing Center online at www.lansingcenter.com to purchase an E-Tix (electronically purchased tickets which will be available for pick up on the day of the luncheon at “will call” between 8:30 a.m. and noon). A small fee will be applied for processing.
