Lansing has two main hospitals: Ingham Regional Medical and Sparrow Health System as well as other service providers. Michigan State University provides medical education and training through the College of Human Medicine and the College of Osteopathic Medicine and operates an outpatient clinic open to the public. Michigan State University provides primary and specialty health care services to the general public through the MSU Colleges of Human Medicine, Nursing, and Osteopathic Medicine .
