Entertainment Express Trolley

Entertainment Express Logo

Program Vision
The program was created through an initiative set by Mayor Bernero to facilitate an entertainment and nightlife transportation link between East Lansing and Lansing. The over all program is a combined effort by local businesses, organizations, the LEDC, CATA, LEPFA, CUB and the two cities. The idea was a safe way to allow students and young professionals to enjoy what both cities have to offer.

Program Execution
The trolley was supplied by CATA in a collaborative effort to fulfill the initiative. From here the visionaries of the program came together to form a planning committee, who would take the lead on where the trolley project would go. The committee decided on the most prosperous route for the trolley to take and they decided on where the stops should be located. The committee also put together marketing strategies as well as created the logo and signage detail. The trolley costs just $1 to ride and runs the "entertainment" route on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.

Numbers
Debuting on October 26, 2006 and running three nights a week, the trolley has grossed over 10,000 riders. The trolley averages 213 riders every weekend!
