Lansing Regional SmartZone
The Lansing Regional SmartZone (LRSZ) is a cooperative effort with the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) to stimulate the growth of technology-based businesses in the Lansing Region. This is a partnership between the City of East Lansing, the City of Lansing, Ingham County, Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce, Michigan Biotechnical Institute (MBI) International, Michigan State University, the Michigan State University Foundation and the University Corporate Research Park. The LRSZ focuses on attracting, creating and expanding businesses in the fields of life sciences, advanced manufacturing and information technology. Linking Lansing & U
Linking Lansing & U is a proactive initiative created by the City of Lansing to design and implement programming to engage university students. As Downtown Lansing begins to emerge as an entertainment and cultural destination, it is ideal timing to showcase the city's progressive enrichment to our future business and civic leaders, and overcome barriers of the past. The City of Lansing has long suffered from disconnect with thousands of students that the region educates. This program will be the first step in securing a future with Michigan's brightest.
