03/22 - Google is looking for cities around the country to test out its ultra-fast broadband internet. Spare no words in telling Google why we are the best region to test this project! They want to test ultra high-speed fiber-optic service, which is up to 100 times faster than your current speed. Googles hopes to offer their service at a competitive price to at least 50,000 and potentially up to 500,000 people. From now until March 26th, Google is accepting submittals from municipalities and Nominations from citizens and community groups to help them decide where to lay this network. High-speed broadband has been identified as a critical piece of infrastructure we lack in many areas. High-tech startups with access to high-speed internet will have a huge competitive advantage. We need to press every opportunity to the fullest! Fill the form out, write letters to the editor, tell your friends, put it on twitter, call in to the radio stations.
