2015 Parks and Recreation Master Plan Draft

The Parks and Recreation Master Plan, 2015‐2020 was developed for guidance on how the City will fulfill the Department's mission over the next 5 years.  Please click on the link above to review.

The 2015 Lansing Parks and Recreation Five Year Master Plan Draft will be presented:

1  The Lansing Parks and Recreation Five Year Plan Draft will be presented to City Council Committee of the Whole on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at 6:30 p.m. at the South Washington Office Complex. The South Washington Office Complex is located at 2500 South Washington Avenue, Lansing, Michigan 48913. This meeting is open to the public.

2.  The Lansing Parks and Recreation Five Year Master Plan Draft will be presented again on Monday, March 23, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. at the Lansing City Council Meeting . The meeting is open to the public

General Park Rules

The staff and other park users appreciate the fact that you used the park and/or facility and left it in a similar or better condition. Please report any problems, defacing of property, damages, etc.

Park Wedding Rules

The following are rules pertaining to weddings held in the Cooley Gardens, Scott Sunken Garden, and Frances Park - Garden Areas.

Graffiti Free Parks

You and your community can help in the battle against graffiti in the park. One of the best defenses against graffiti is a very quick response in removing it.

Here at Lansing Parks and Recreation we strive to provide all of the Lansing community with quality recreational opportunities. One way we do this is through our youth scholarship program. In the economic climate of today we are finding more families in need of this financial assistance. Your donation will help us ensure we are able to scholarship Lansing youth who request assistance.
