Emergency Communications Division

The Ingham County Emergency Communications Division is located in the City of Lansing, Michigan  The hours of operation are from 24 hours - 7 days a week.

Lance Langdon is the Director of the Emergency Communications Division and can be reached at email llangdon@ingham.org

The 9-1-1 Emergency Service receives, prioritizes, and refers 9-1-1 calls for police, fire, and emergency medical services for Ingham County of which include: Ingham County Sheriff's Office, Lansing Township Police Department, Leslie Township Police Department, Mason Police Department, Williamston Police Department, Delhi Township Fire Department, Ingham Township Fire and Rescue, Lansing Fire and Rescue, Lansing Township Fire and Rescue, Leroy Township Fire Department, Leslie Township Fire Department, Mason Fire Department, Onondaga Township Fire Department, Stockbridge Township Fire Department, and Williamston Fire Department. Pre-arrival medical instruction is provided, as well as emergency language interpretation services for over 140 languages/dialects and telecommunications for the deaf and hard of hearing.  Besides providing radio dispatching support to our own department, the Communications Division also provides radio dispatching support to six other law enforcement agencies, ten fire rescue departments, and five ambulance rescue providers.

The Communications Division answers all non-emergency and administrative calls for service for the Lansing Police Department and the Ingham County Sheriff's Department. We also answer non-emergency calls for the Lansing Township Police, Mason Police, Leslie Police, and Williamston Police at night, on holidays and weekends.  Telephone Reporting Service: The Telephone Reporting Service helps officers by establishing a case file within the Department's records system for officers initiating investigative reports. Ingham County Computer Aided Dispatch:  The Lansing Police Department Communications Division serves as the System Administrator for a networked computer system that supports all City and contracted County 9-1-1 and public safety dispatching.
