Do 1 Thing

What is Do1Thing?

Do1Thing is a local non-profit program that was started here in Lansing to make our community more disaster resilient. The focus of the program is emergency preparedness. We want people to do more than be aware of hazards, we want them to take action to become better prepared for whatever might happen. Do1Thing is a web-based twelve month preparedness program that focuses on a different range of preparedness options for each topic. Each month has a low or no-cost option to become better prepared.

Each month a new topic is introduced on the Do1Thing website. Download the factsheet and choose one thing from the list to do for yourself or your family that month.

That's all it takes to become better prepared.

Why Do 1 Thing?

You are the only one who can ensure your own safety and the safety of your family in a disaster. The threat of natural and manmade disaster is real, even in Mid-Michigan.
