Scouts will learn why it is important to be friendly and helpful. Scouts will also learn how the Turner family was friendly and helpful.

2. Courageous and Strong
Scouts will learn why it is good to be courageous and strong. Scouts will learn how the Turner family was courageous when they helped make Lansing Michigan's capital.

3. Use Resources Wisely
Scouts will learn different ways to be friendly to our environment. Scouts will learn how to make craft projects from everyday items.

4. Make the World a Better Place
Scouts will learn what they can do to make the world a better place. Scouts will also learn how both the Turner and Dodge families helped to make the world a better place.

5. Honest and Fair
Scouts will learn why it is important to be honest and fair.

6. Responsible for What I Do and Say
Scouts will learn why it it important to be responsible for what they do and say.
