Voter Demographics for November 8, 2011 - voters by age and gender
Two Council Members At-Large and a Council Member from each Ward 1 and Ward 3 will be elected. Additionally, three members of the Lansing School District Board of Education will be elected, and members of the East Lansing, Holt, and Waverly School Districts (each of which have a portion of Lansing). The City Primary narrowed the field of candidates for the City General Election. Offices appear on the primary ballot only if there were more than two times the number of candidates than positions to be elected; the 3rd Ward Council Member did not appear on the August primary ballot.
