STAFF SERVICES
The Lansing Police Department's Staff Services is located at 120 West Michigan Avenue, Lansing, Michigan, on the Northwest corner, across the street from the State Capitol. The hours of operation are from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Gun Permits and Fingerprinting will be processed, 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday. The Detention Section hours are 24 hours, 7 days a week. Staff Services is a smoke free building.
Staff Services houses the Administrative Offices for the Lansing Police Department. Staff Services employees are happy to assist you. Point of contact, point of service is the motto followed by the employees. Staff Services follows Chief Szymanski's goals of crime reduction, effective reduction of calls for service and citizen satisfaction. Report a Crime (Note: Central Services does not house road patrol officers). If you need to make a police report, you can do that at the Central Services building. A road patrol officer will be called in off the road to meet with you).
