Retirement Office

The City of Lansing Retirement Office administers a public employee retirement system that offers defined benefit plans. The City offers two retirement plans for full-time permanent employees: Police and Fire Retirement System (that serve sworn members of the police and fire system) and Employees Retirement System (that serve general employees). The City's Payroll and Benefits Office handles health care benefits for Retirees. The City of Lansing also offers Deferred Compensation 457 Plans.
