Low Income Assistance
Show Me the Money Day is an annual statewide event in Michigan held on the last weekend in January. Local events held across the state provide Michigan residents access to numerous community resources through vendor fairs and free financial education classes. This year Show Me the Money Day kicks off with a press conference at the state capitol on Friday, January 27, 2012 and continues with local events on Saturday, January 28, 2012. Income Tax Preparation Assistance
Volunteer organizations provide assistance preparing income tax returns for low income and seniors. Please contact them to see if you qualify for their reduced fee or free tax preparation service.
Sewer Credit for Low Income Families
The City has a goal of reducing sewer rates for families living below the poverty level.
