Celebrate the 20th anniversary year of the free JazzFest in Old Town! Performers include Glenn Brown & Intergalactic Spiral, Randy Gelispie Quartet with special guest Fareed Haque, RYZ featuring Perry Hughes and Gerard Gibbs, and Dirty Fingers – A Tribute to Big John Patton, by Jim Alfredson.
Mayor Bernero & community partners launched the Mayor’s Young Lansing Commission & Partnerships (MY Lansing CAP), a collaborative approach to unlocking the full potential of young people of color in the Lansing region. The group released a report detailing current issues & several solutions.
Lansing's monthly Mobile Food Pantry will be held at South Church of the Nazarene on Saturday, August 16th from 9:00-11:00 AM. The HRCS Department will be distributing free, non-perishable food items. Participants must bring a valid ID and a box or bag to carry the items.
Enjoy free, live music this summer with Lansing's Concerts in the Park Program series from June 4th-August 6th. Each concert is hosted by the Parks and Recreation office in different parks throughout the City.
